22 February 11.15-12.15 Patrice Baldwin ‘The Queen of the Mist’ – exploring a real-life story through Drama
23 February 11.15 – 12.00 ND Chair, Geoff Readman, Keynote ‘Drama teaching: the neglected art?’ This session will explore the unique contribution of the drama teacher in facilitating learning.
23 February 13.30 – 14.30 Deborah Pakkar-Hull, ‘Planning for Drama in the Primary Classroom’ – an interactive session to introduce a drama planning process.
There are drama sessions on topics including advocacy for drama and the cruciality of specialist teachers, key practitioners and companies, support for exam preparation and curriculum planning, puppetry, devising and play, diversity and challenging texts, inclusion and SEND, using story, masks, stage combat, oracy and gesticulation, and text adaptation.
