ND Position Papers

National Drama’s Position Papers and Statements of Curriculum Advocacy

Introduction

The papers in this members’ section of the website are intended to be used for advocacy, the creation of policy statements or for presenting a case for Drama to Senior Leadership.

Several of the papers are highly informative and include the political policy and decision-making that influenced the development of Drama in schools, such as the Initial Teacher Education and Key Stage 3 papers.

One or two papers, such as Preparing for Ofsted or Consulting the Governors are check-lists and important reminders for teachers in their professional work and advocacy.

All of the following papers support the ideas and proposals contained in the generic curriculum statement which has now been sent to all members and published widely amongst colleagues, politicians and the other Drama Associations.

The Complete List of Papers

Finally, these papers have been prepared and written by the ND Executive Officers, for members to use freely in their work in whatever way they judge to be appropriate. The only thing we ask is that National Drama is appropriately referenced.
