SEND learners and Drama Spaces

Join Gill Brigg, specialist SEND teacher and trainer with more than 40 years experience, for a twilight session on Thursday 26th March 6.30-7.30pm on Zoom for SEND learners and Drama Spaces. This session will look at how the building blocks of drama teaching can be used to create irresistible learning opportunities. It will consider the barriers to engagement for SEND learners and look at a range of tried and tested examples of how to minimise these barriers.
Why this event is good to come to
This 1-hour session will reconnect you with the magic ingredients of using drama in your teaching. The ideas explored are applicable across all phases of education from early years to higher education settings . It will also offer suggestions of how to minimise your stress whilst teaching!
Session Fees
Session fee is £7.50. Members of London Drama and National Drama £5.00. Teachers-in-Training/ECTs £2.

About the session leader
Gill Brigg has over 40 years’ experience as a cross-phase drama teacher, theatre-maker, and advisory teacher. She has worked for the last 20 years in Specialist Schools as a TIE performer, Drama specialist, and class teacher where she applies her MEd and PhD to the realities of the classroom. She now works nationally and internationally with teachers, actors, and academics, developing their practice with neurodivergent groups. Collaborating with theatre-makers to make pieces accessible to audiences with complex needs, she also serves on boards and advisory groups to represent the cultural rights of children and young people with limited access to theatre and drama.
