PRIMARY EDUCATION CPD PROGRAMME 2025-2026

This programme aims to:
- Deepen teachers’ understanding of drama as an art form and educational tool
- Develop creative and practical skills for integrating drama into the curriculum
- Foster pupils’ critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and communication skills through drama activities
- Provide strategies for using drama to support diverse learning needs and inclusive education
- Encourage reflective practice, subject leadership for drama and ongoing professional development in drama education

Programme Outline
This programme will be delivered online, each module running for 2 hours (with break built in) from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, with the exception of the opening session which will be face to face from 9.30am – 3.30pm. (Venue to be confirmed)

Patrice Baldwin
Patrice Baldwin is a Drama for Learning expert, author and a Higher-level Action Learning Facilitator (ILM). Her most recent book is, ‘40+ ‘Drama’ Strategies to Deepen Whole Class Learning’ (Routledge, 2024). She has delivered training in almost 40 countries. Patrice is Past Chair of the UK’s Council for Subject Associations (2021-2025), former Chair of National Drama (2004 -2014) and former President of the International Drama Theatre and Education Association(2010 -2013). She was a primary headteacher, School Improvement Partner and Arts Education Adviser (Norfolk), and an Ofsted inspector. She was Sir Jim Rose’s Editorial Expert (Drama) for his proposed Primary national curriculum, and Oak National Academy’s Primary Drama subject leader, (2020-2021). She has worked as a BBC Education scriptwriter and series consultant for Drama (radio and TV).

Full programme of 5 sessions: £195*
1 x Full day: £75
1 x Online: £50
