National Drama, the leading UK subject association for drama teachers and theatre educators, is undertaking this exciting and innovative project to develop online drama-specific CPD materials.
Supported by TDA, the site aims to provide up-to-date and fit-for-purpose drama-specific CPD that is relevant to all those who teach about and through drama.
Whether you are an experienced subject specialist, an NQT, a non-specialist primary or secondary teacher coming to grips with drama for the first time, you will find materials to support your development and confidence in teaching drama.
When the site goes live, it will offer free in-service provision with study units at 3 different levels of challenge in 4 key categories:
Created by experienced drama teachers and teacher educators, each unit will provide materials to work through and tasks to undertake. Many will be supported by multi-media resources housed in the online library. You will also find a forum on the site through which you will be able to share your thoughts, ideas and queries with other users.
National Drama hopes you will want to register to use the site and that you will find the Drama CPD units stimulating and helpful. Once you have completed them, you will be able to store your work in your own e.portfolio to support your performance management review. The GTC Teachers Learning Academy will also offer validation for your work, should you wish it.
